Welcome to the ASO’s first vocal music education program, the ASO Children’s Chorus! Intended for treble singers in grades 4-7, this Chorus will perform on the main stage as part of ASO’s Home for the Holidays Pops concerts in December 2026 as well as other performances throughout the concert season.  Membership in this ensemble is available by audition only.

The Youth Chamber Ensembles program gives young musicians the opportunity to enhance their musical development by studying and performing chamber music under the guidance of professional instructors. Instrumentation varies depending on the repertoire, which includes a mix of strings, woodwinds, brass, harp, and piano. Coached by our expert faculty, students learn standard repertoire and contemporary music through coachings, independent rehearsals, and performances.

ASOYE and String Academy students are encouraged to register, as being in a chamber ensemble not only strengthens individual musicianship and ensemble skills, but also fosters leadership, collaboration, and community engagement - values at the core of ASO’s mission. 

• Ensembles meet weekly from October through mid-January (times scheduled around participant’s availability)
• Ensembles will receive 8 coachings from an ASO musician.
• Ensembles will perform on the winter recital.
• Apply as a pre-formed group or be placed with a group that has a similar skill level.

An audition is required to join the ASO Youth Ensembles (ASOYE).

Prelude, Academy, and Youth Auditions are set for January 7th.
